Old Time Music Evening on 27th January, 2007 – Joanna to speak to Mike Allen, to see if he has any publicity material we could use.
Big Top – Helen reported that Live and Local had emailed her with an idea they were having about having a ‘Big Top’ event and were looking to see what interest there was. Helen, after contacting Stuart Le Cornu and the committee, has replied that we are interested and would especially like this to link in with next year’s fête. Helen will provide feedback.
Zoë reported that she has received a pack containing all the information/legalisation required for setting up a youth club. It was decided that Zoë would draw up a leaflet, which will be distributed at the same time as the Live and Local leaflet, to see what the possible take up would be if we were to go ahead with this.
Helen requested a cheque for £21 to cover the Alcohol Licence for the Live and Local event, which she is now in receipt of. Maria handed Tony five cheques for the hire of the hall and one cheque which was a donation.
Tony reported on how much we had in each account, but stated that after we have paid for the playing field equipment there would be not much left.
Helen reported that their request for a donation from the Parish Council would be an agenda item at the next Parish Council meeting to be held on Monday 6th November.
Zoë said she had been in touch with the Prince’s Trust. This was just the sort of project they were looking for and requested a picture of the area. Helen will email Zoë a picture.
The next Warwickshire Divisional Panel meeting will be held at Pailton Village Hall on Tuesday 28th November at 7.30pm.
The new play equipment is now in place, with just a couple of things to finish off. Tony Gillias has been cutting the grass on a regular basis and the field is now looking a lot better. Gill reported that the ‘Hags’ equipment had been vandalised in the centre and was now dangerous. She is in contact with the manufacturer to have this equipment repaired. She will provide feedback at the next meeting. In the meantime, Helen will make some signs to place on the equipment to warn people of the dangers, Zoë will attach these to the equipment.
None.
Helen to find out about playing fields inspections. Tony will check that the new equipment is included in the insurance.
