Present: Tony, Carrole, Jill, Joanna, Clair and Helen
Apologies: Chris and Kara
The next event is on 20th November at 8pm, Fanny Cradock, The Life and Loves of a Kitchen Devil. There will be a short meeting at 12 St Denis View on Monday 15th November at 8pm to finalise arrangements. It was agreed to purchase new tables clothes in time for the next village event that required the use of the tables.
Some of the newly refurbished stone work has been damaged, Fred (the stone mason) is to inspect this on Wednesday 3rd November. He will also be asked to quote for the upper stone work to be refurbished. It was also noted that his bill for the work already undertaken has not be paid, Clair to check with Gary. Hopefully the work to replace the windows will start within the next 2 to 3 weeks.
Helen saw Mr Turton about the football posts, he said he was happy for the committee to take the posts down and dispose of them. He also offered the lawn mower to the committee if we needed it. Helen reported that the Parish Council had not yet received a quote for including the cutting of playing field grass, included in the general village grass cutting contract. Carrole to ask Phil if he could give the grass one last cut before winter.
A member of the public at the last Parish Council meeting asked if the new curtains could have pull cords attached to them. The committee to look at this when the new windows are fitted.
The outcome of the WREN application is still awaited. Joanna has looked at the grants booklet from the last meeting and has ear marked 1 grant we could apply for.
Unfortunately the event the committee hoped to stage on 13th November has had to be cancelled due to the lack of a band.
It was agreed to donate £150 to the club for fireworks.
Clair and Helen are now signatories for the committee.
Monday 6th December 2004 at 8pm at 6 St Denis View.
